There really isn’t one album that stands out me as “omfg aotyyyyy” in 2012. Tame Impala and Flying Lotus are my last big hopes (besides anything that I may not have discovered yet). I may end up just giving it to Channel Orange because how many people I personally know that it’s touching (including myself). It’s an album that brings a never-ending range of folks together. Also, it’s really fucking good. Ocean’s intense modesty and overall humble personality are so charming, I really can’t think anyone else who deserves it more.

I’ll end this blog-post before it becomes a 2012 retrospective before the year’s even over. I’ll speak more on this around then.
